In an Eventing special with Horse & Hound, Victoria Gray advises riders to choose carefully when buying a new body protector - it may be one of the most important pieces of equipment you'll ever purchase.

Victoria reviewed 10 body protectors and of Airowear's Zippa Plus she commented;

The Zippa Plus is made from 'Airotech', a lightweight ventilated foam with two layers that mould around the body. The cover is made from a micro-fibre material that is soft, durable and comfortable. It includes shoulder protectors for added protection. There are 60 standard sizes, various range of colours and ticked 5 of 6 boxes which included:

Meets BETA level 3; can be made to measure; shoulder protection pads are included (shoulder pads can be attached on the Zippa Sport); available in children's sizes and can be customised in all colours. The only feature that did not get a tick was whether it had a removable cover (the Reiver version does have a removable cover)
