Airowear are proud to announce the partnership with Mary-Anne Carpenter.
CIC* winner Mary Anne-Carpenter works as a human resources officer for Renault's Formula 1 team. It is a job she says that pays for her Eventingbut every so often she thinks wistfully about going back and working with horses full time.
"I grew up with horses and did all the Pony Club teams before basing myself with Alison Oliver as a working pupil. Then my good horse had to be put down so I needed to get a job that would payfor me to replace him" she said.
"I bought Alles Klar (Alfie) as an unbroken three-year-old and i've done everything myself with the help of Wayne Garrick, who is on the same yard".
Mary-Anne, 34, is based in Oxfordshire, 10 minutes from the yard where she keeps Alfie. She gets up at 5am to ride so that she can be in work by 8:30am and she returns to the stables after work.
"My employers are really good and I manage to book all my holidays around events. It would be lovely to have my own yard but this job does pay for my eventing"
Mary-Anne and Alfie, who train with Serena Gordon and William Milfin, are now aiming for an Autumn CIC**.
"He's my horse of a lifetime and having produced him myself I know him inside out and he trusts me completely"
