Ruth Edge, Airowear?s sponsored rider, has teamed up with some of the top names in the equestrian industry, in preparation for the start of the Eventing season. During January, Ruth spent time with Burt Rutten in Holland, as well as with Peter Murphy to train for Show Jumping and Judy Harvey for Dressage.
Ruth?s start to the new season begins with the Lincoln Horse Trials where she will be sporting her new will colours; navy blue, royal blue and silver in the Airowear Zippa Plus body protector. For show jumping, the top class Eventer will be sporting the navy blue Orion helmet by Troxel.
Ruth, who has 19 horses, has as great ambition this year as she has always had, with plans to compete on Two Thyme and Marsh Mayfly at Badminton. Ruth also plans to compete at Blair Castle, Burghley and Buckley as well as qualifying three rides for the national dressage championships, the British Open and Scottish Open Championships.
On the run up to the season, commenting on her sponsorship from Airowear, Ruth Edge says, ?I use Airowear products because I truly believe they use the best technology and design to provide the safest and stylist body protectors on the market?
Commenting on Ruth as a sponsored rider, Managing Director Lucy Carr-Seaman says ?Ruth is the ideal role model for our products. We are delighted to be able to sponsor a Northern rider and it was a great pleasure to be able to follow her success in 2006 and we are very much looking forward to following her success in 2007. She is an excellent ambassador for the sport, who I sincerely believe many will be following as she is such an inspiration for many young budding Eventers?
