Airowear?s sponsored American rider, Karen O?Connor, staged a fantastic performance with ?the pony? (as he was known throughout the Rolex weekend) on Theodore O?Connor.
Karen?s spectacular show jumping round leapt her from ninth place after her XC round, to an overall position of third which also gave her the runner-up position for the USEF Pinnacle Cup Trophy.
?Teddy? Theodore?s stable name, didn?t let his 14.1hh size hinder his round and proved he could easily compete with the larger horses by making the distance throughout the weekend. The pair?s final score was 60.1, and ?the pony? was awarded the Best Conditioned Horse Trophy.
Karen commented after the weekend; ?It?s been like a fairy tale. I?ve never had more fun than I had this weekend with this pony. He feels like a giant out there?
12 Year old Theodore, whose breeding is Thoroughbred/Arabian/Shetland proved to be a crowd-stopper, especially after plenty of people were skeptical of his ability, including, O?Connor. But, Theodore proved himself after a brilliant cross-country round on the Saturday and a pure round in the show jumping to the wild delight of the enthusiastic and appreciative audience.
