Airowear Announces Title Sponsorship Of BE80(T) In 2015
We are extremely pleased to announce our new sponsorship with British Eventing. As a brand committed to innovation in the equestrian safety market, Airowear has become the new title sponsors of the BE80 Training series in 2015.
Introduced in 2009, the series has received a fantastic response as an introductory step in to the sport, prompting BE to increase the number of BE80(T) hosting events to 80 with over 140 classes around the country.
The purpose of the BE80(T), where T stands for training and 80cm denotes the fence height, is to introduce people to the sport with an emphasis on education, safety and fun. Riders taking part also get the support from dedicated BE Accredited Coaches who are there to help all BE80(T) competitors, completely free of charge.
Airowear is a division of Charles Owen, long standing sponsors of the extremely successful BE Pony Programme. Roy Burek, Managing Director of Charles Owen, said, “We are thrilled to have the opportunity to sponsor the BE80(T). It is extremely important to us to provide support the entry level riders in eventing. This series not only offers a great step into the sport, but also gives excellent opportunities to gain training and ultimately create safe and competitive riders.”
BE Chief Executive Mike Etherington-Smith commented on this generous sponsorship agreement, “I am delighted to welcome Airowear to the sport as BE80(T) sponsors. This is a rapidly growing area of the sport, so their sponsorship is vital in helping events host this valuable training class for both horses and riders.”
The goal of the Airowear BE80(T)
It is hoped that those who enter will learn from their day and also will want to come back for more. The intention is that the competition is straightforward and friendly so that everyone has a good experience with the emphasis being on fun and education.
