Charles Owen And Airowear At LRK3DE 2018: Day 2
Day 2 of dressage at the Kentucky Horse Park was even busier than yesterday and we were thrilled to meet so many of you for helmet and body protector fittings throughout the day!
One of our most popular options today was our Ayr8® With Piping. Did you know that we can help you design the helmet of your dreams? With the number of microsuede or leather look colours, piping options and custom paint and mesh combinations, the sky is the limit when it comes to what you can create! One rider decided on this beautiful snake trim-sided helmet with silver paint and sparkly piping. We can’t wait for everyone who placed a custom order today to receive their helmets – always be sure to share photos and tag them with #safety365 so we can check them out!
We also provided plenty of body protector fittings today. Whether you were looking for an added degree of protection on a casual trail ride, beginning your eventing career, or headed for a CCI4*, our body protector range had a fit for everyone today! Our AyrPS air protection system was especially popular. If you heard a bang in Sponsor Village, it was probably a rider experiencing the incredible outward inflation of the AirShell! Once it’s deployed, the air system rapidly inflates away from the body. This means that it doesn’t cause any shortness of breath or discomfort.
In addition to giving riders the chance to feel the AyrPS in action, our expert fitter Ian Mitchell had a wealth of knowledge to share with everyone who stopped by for a fitting. His top tip today? Make sure your body protector fits between the two hinge points of your upper body: the back of the neck where you bend your head forward and your waist.
We also answered a lot of questions about our removable liners. We now have seven models available with removable liners: the Ayr8® Plus, the AyrBrush, the eLumen8, the eLumenAyr, the Polocrosse, the Pro II Plus and the V8. Not only are these liners washable and replaceable so that you can easily refresh the life of your helmet, but also they can help to snug up the fit of your helmet if you happen to be in between sizes.
Check out some of our most popular products from the day as well as the canine companions who were out and about – if your dog wants to represent safety in style, stop by to pick up a vintage Charles Owen bandana:
